Practical information

The doors into the concert auditorium are opened well before the start of each concert and are closed punctually. Latecomers may be prevented from entering the auditorium until a suitable break in the performance.

Please be aware that the use of cameras and mobile phones can be disturbing for both other guests and the performers. Photography is not allowed at some events and mobile phones should always be switched off or put into silent mode. Press and professional photographers must contact us beforehand.

Spiseriet is situated on the ground floor and is the gourmet heart of Stavanger Concert Hall. You can see the menus, opening times and book a table on the restaurant’s website.

Order your refreshments in advance to beat the queues during the interval!

Spiseriet usually offers pre-ordering of drinks at the bar, so that your drinks will be waiting for you in the break. This is however not always possible depending on what else is going on in the concert hall. Please speak to the staff in the main bar on arrival to order and pay. For larger group orders, please contact Spiseriet directly at post@spiseriet.no.

Our cloakroom is situated on the ground floor. Please note that the cloakroom is unattended, and you are free use it at your own risk. There are also some coin-operated lockers and lockable hangers available to members of the audience.

Some concerts have an 18-year age limit. Guests aged 13-17 years may attend such concerts when accompanied by a guardian (minimum age 25 years). The guardian can take responsibility for up to two underage guests. The guardian form must be completed and brought to the venue.

PLACES FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS / PERSONS WITH REDUCED MOBILITY 

Stavanger Concert Hall has a universal design, and there are fixed areas in the various halls for wheelchair users and persons with reduced mobility.

For concerts that take place in the Zetlitz hall with a standing audience, a ramp is built with space for wheelchairs. The same space is offered to those with reduced mobility, in need of facilitation. Tickets for carers/companions are also available. There is limited space on the ramp, but we do our best to distribute the seats accordingly, so everyone can bring one carer/companion.

AUDIO INDUCTION LOOP FOR PERSONS WITH HEARING AID

During events, our front-of-house staff is here to help you in the best possible way, so don’t be afraid to ask if you need assistance or to borrow equipment.

Children under the age of 2 can sit on their parents’ lap at children’s and family events. If you prefer your child (under the age of 2) to have their own seat, individual tickets must be purchased. Please note: Young children are normally not allowed to attend events tailored to adults.

Tickets specifically for children are offered for certain events. These are valid and can be purchased for children / young people up to 16 years.

We offer a student discount on a selection of our events and concerts. You can find these here. The discount applies to students and apprentices in high school, universities and colleges.

Join us for a guided tour of Stavanger Concert Hall!

On this tour, you will get to experience both the Fartein Valen and Zetlitz hall, in addition to a tour backstage featuring an exclusive look into some of the 180 rooms that exist in the concert hall. You will also gain an insight into the day-to-day running, the history, architecture and acoustics of Stavanger Concert Hall.

Tours last about 50 minutes. Consideration will be shown to rehearsals, concerts or other activities taking place in the halls. The tours normally take place on Saturdays, but are also arranged on other days during holiday times. A ticket costs 90 NOK and can be bought online or at the Box Office in Stavanger Concert Hall. There will be a maximum of 20 people on each tour.

GROUP TOURS

We can also arrange private group tours in addition to the planned tours which take place at the concert hall. Prices are 1800 NOK for a private group and 900 NOK for a school class. A maximum of 30 people is allowed in each group. We can also arrange for tours to include a musical interlude.

GUIDED TOUR OF THE ORGAN

Experience the magnificent organ in Stavanger Concert Hall from the outside and the inside! On this tour, you will get an insight into how the organ works and hear how it sounds. Minimum 5 to maximum 20 participants. Price per person is 90 NOK.
