Experience one of the world’s most beloved ballets when the Classical Ukrainian Etoile Ballet visits in March.
Presented by Kultur for Folket, the company brings leading ballet dancers in a traditional and authentic staging of Swan Lake – the ballet of all ballets. Expect an evening of elegance, drama, and beauty. The company is currently touring Europe with performances in Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway.
With music by P.I. Tchaikovsky and choreography by Marius Petipa, Swan Lake is a masterpiece and a timeless symbol of ballet worldwide. On the shore of a moonlit lake, Prince Siegfried encounters Odette, the enchanted Swan Princess. He pledges his love to her, but the evil sorcerer Rothbart’s deception threatens to destroy everything. This powerful story of love and betrayal has touched audiences for generations.
The production is performed by Etoile Ballet, founded in Kyiv by soloists from the Ukrainian National Opera and Ballet Theatre. Today the company has international status and unites dancers from across the world. The performance features handmade costumes and sets, accompanied by a high-quality orchestral recording from the Kharkiv Opera Orchestra.
