Concert on the Occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Bulgaria

On the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Bulgaria (3 March), the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Norway, with the contribution of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Bulgaria in Stavanger, presents a festive concert dedicated to Bulgarian folklore and traditional dance.

The concert features two renowned Bulgarian dance groups: Dance Team “Vangeloff” and Dance Group “Ripni-Ka”, both deeply devoted to preserving and sharing the richness of Bulgarian folk traditions.

Dance Team “Vangeloff” (Sofia, Bulgaria) was founded in 2009 and is a vibrant and dynamic ensemble bringing together people of different ages and professions united by their passion for Bulgarian folklore. The group is led by its director and choreographer, Mr. Rangel Vangeloff. Their repertoire includes traditional Bulgarian folk dances (hora) as well as original choreographies inspired by the beauty and wisdom of Bulgaria’s ancient traditions. In addition to performances across Bulgaria, the ensemble has appeared at numerous international events in Europe, Asia, Africa, and beyond.

Dance Group “Ripni-Ka” was established in 2007 by its founder and artistic director, Ms. Svetla Milosheva. Since its creation, the group has continuously welcomed new members drawn to the magic of Bulgarian folklore. Today, more than 200 amateur dancers participate in Ripni-Ka, practicing dances from all folkloric regions of Bulgaria. The group gained national recognition with its participation in the Second National Festival in Sofia in 2008 and has since received numerous awards at national and international festivals, as well as participating in cultural and charitable events.
