Stavanger is finally getting its very own festival for rock and metal! We’ve been hearing it for a long time – audiences wishing for more concerts in Stavanger featuring heavier music. Now we can finally say: we’re doing something about it. Stavanger Rockfest will take place in Zetlitz on October 3rd and 4th. There will be two stages inside Zetlitz, and we’re filling the venue with loud guitars for two full days.

Artist:

Abbath, former frontman of Immortal, one of Norway’s greatest black metal bands of all time. Few musicians have had such a major impact on the Norwegian extreme metal scene as the riff maestro himself, Abbath. He gives his all in spectacular concerts, both visually and sonically. There truly is no stage presence like Abbath in modern extreme metal. As frontman of the legendary Immortal for decades, this prolific artist has delivered black metal classics, played the biggest festivals in Europe, and toured the world – both as a solo artist and as part of the iconic trio. Abbath now continues his Return to the Raven Realms tour, offering fans an updated setlist featuring Immortal classics from his era in the legendary band.

Honningbarna have been described as the country’s best live band and recently released what is already being hailed as one of the year’s best albums. They’ve kept up a blistering pace since bursting onto the scene as teenagers. Their first EP came out in 2010, and since then they’ve maintained a firm grip on their audience. Honningbarna have released six albums and won both Spellemann and P3 Gull awards. This year, they followed up with their seventh album, Soft Spot, receiving rave reviews from critics and fans alike. Phrases like “one of the year’s best albums,” “electrifying,” “their best work yet,” and “utterly wild in quality” are just some of the praise. While the band has explored and continually evolved their sound in the studio, an ever-growing audience has found its way to their true home turf – the stage.

Purified In Blood have many years under their belt and are praised both nationally and internationally for solid performances. We’re excited to see them in full force on home turf. After more than a decade of silence, the unstoppable force that is Purified in Blood returned with their long-awaited new album, Primal Pulse Thunder – an intense journey where brutal hardcore elements fuse with thunderous metal riffs.

Autonomie is a thrash metal band from Stavanger/Hundvåg. They bring a solid mix of aggressive punk and old-school thrash metal, and after a large number of concerts in recent years, they’ve become a live act that truly delivers a punch!

Baest is a death metal band from Denmark, known for their old-school death metal-inspired sound and energetic live shows. With clear references to bands like Morbid Angel, Entombed, and Bloodbath, they combine brutality with technical precision. Baest has received international acclaim and played at major festivals like Copenhell and Roskilde.

The Clumps have quickly become an underground powerhouse on the Norwegian rock scene. With their unique blend of alternative rock, grunge, and elements of post-grunge and shoegaze, they’ve crafted a sound that’s both raw and refreshing. A nostalgic yet forward-looking package bursting with energy.

Daufødt is a Norwegian punk/hardcore band known for their intense energy, uncompromising style, and clearly feminist and political profile. In 2025, Daufødt will tour across Europe to promote their new album, but luckily they’re also doing a select few shows in Norway. After touring Scandinavia several times – playing both clubs and festivals like Roskilde and Øyafestivalen – the band retreated to the basement and put together an album that fuses chaos and intensity with catchier rock undertones – in true Daufødt style.

Their third album Glitter is not about glitz and glam, but what lingers – what sticks. On this record, Daufødt takes the pulse of 2025 from the perspective of a young adult. It’s a desperate cry about the end times while watching cute dog videos. Their music balances chaos and control, with sharp lyrics and an extremely energetic stage presence that has made them one of the most exciting new bands in the Norwegian and European underground.

Eie stands out with their atmospheric and experimental approach to rock and pop. Their sound has been described as “gothic grunge,” but we’d say this is music that spans multiple genres and is perfect for a live setting. Get ready for a concert full of musical and lyrical contrasts, where destructive relationships and blind idealization of authority figures are thrown headfirst into the wall.
Their album My Tongue Is Stuck to the Roof of My Mouth And That Is All I Can Think About was recently released and received very positive feedback.

You Know Who is a band that operates on the border between rock and punk, with heavy riffs and a humorous edge. Drawing inspiration from 70s Detroit rock and the Scandinavian rock wave of the 90s/2000s – while also drinking from the holy youth fountain at 4.7% – they’ve cranked their amps to levels that would make Spinal Tap proud. They aim to deliver a product that the middle class can crack a cold one to on a Friday after a long week in the public sector. Members from various established bands make this project something of a local supergroup within their genre. They’ve made an impact in underground circles far beyond Norway’s borders.

Årabrot is an experimental rock band from Haugesund, known for their dark and artistic approach to sound and themes. For 20 years, they’ve been chronically unpredictable, radically uncompromising, and impossible to pigeonhole. There’s hardly a genre they haven’t ambushed with their massive amps and militant riffs. The band blends elements of noise rock, industrial, and avant-garde with theatrical vocals and deeply existential lyrics. Årabrot has received international critical acclaim and stands as one of Norway’s most unique and uncompromising bands.

We’re looking forward to celebrating rock and metal together for two full days in Zetlitz this autumn!
