Sunday November 2rd,
Bjergsted Symphony Orchestra (BSO) presents a beautiful romantic program with
an excellent cellist, Marcus Michelin, as soloist. Marcus is the cellist no 1
in the city’s professional orchestra, SSO. He will perform the popular concerto
no 1 by Camille Saint-Saëns. This concerto will be framed by one of
Antonín Dvorák’s Slavic dances and his idyllic
and optimistic Symphony no 8 in G.

The BSO has been
Stavanger’s symphony orchestra for non-professional musicians since 1980. Over
the last years, it has increased in quantity and quality under the leadership
of conductor Bastien Ricquebourg.
