The Nutcracker is a beautiful tale of young Clara, who falls asleep and experiences the Nutcracker Prince, toy soldiers, snowflakes, and the Sugar Plum Fairy coming to life. The dream is not only pleasant, filled with sweets and snow. Clara and the prince must also battle oversized rats and mice.

Composer Peter Tchaikovsky made this story one of the world’s most popular ballets in 1892, and today it’s a global Christmas tradition to attend this performance. Perhaps it’s because both dance and music are perceived as universal languages, and regardless of nationality or age, one is captivated by the story of a girl’s delicate dream and the battle between good and evil, where love ultimately triumphs.

This version of The Nutcracker uses the classical choreography of Marius Petipa and is performed by the Classical Ukrainian Etoile Ballet. The company consists of professional Ukrainian ballet dancers who don’t have the opportunity to perform in their homeland.
