On Monday March 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM, the final and very limited batch of single-tickets for the EBBC Championship and Challenge sections will be released.
In addition to regular tickets there will be some other options explained below:
«Adjudicator Edition»
These seats are located behind the adjudicator’s box and therefore offer little to no view of the stage. As a result, they will be sold at a discounted price. However, with the option to purchase music scores at the venue, this ticket type provides a unique opportunity to experience the competition from an adjudicator’s perspective.
«Streaming/Standby Tickets»
Holders of these tickets will have access to the Streaming Lounge, a conference room with a cinema-style setup inside Stavanger Konserthus, where they can follow the competition via live stream. Additionally, they may have the opportunity to enter the main contest hall (Fartein Valen) for live performances if vacant seats are available.
Hosts stationed throughout the main contest hall (Fartein Valen) will remain in continuous contact with officials inside the Streaming Lounge, providing real-time updates on seat availability. If a ticket holder for a seat in Fartein Valen arrives to claim their spot, the standby attendee must immediately return to the Streaming Lounge to continue watching via the live stream.
The organisers reserves the right in their sole discretion, to terminate, modify or suspend this solution in the case of lack of compliance with these rules. However, based on the long history on previous EBBCs with a very cooperative audience with the greatest effort among all involved to show generous flexibility, we trust this will work to the best for all parties – including all bands who can get a good audience for their performances.
Join us for the EBBC 2025 in Stavanger, where you will have the opportunity to listen to top brass bands from all over Europe. They will be competing in four different sections, including to sections for youth bands. The bands are all qualified through national competitions or nominated by their national brass band federation. The EBBC 2025 will also host the Conductors competition.
EBBC – Championship Section
The Championship Section consists of the winning band from the previous year and the champion band and/or nominated band from each European country.
EBBC – Challenge Section
The Challenge Section features a lineup of brass bands consisting on a level just below the Championship Section. Bands in the Challenge Section will play a new test piece, composed by the Norwegian composer Ingebjørg Vilhelmsen, plus an own choice program in a single performance. The total playing time shall not be longer than 25 minutes. This section is on Saturday 10th of May before the Championship Section own choice.
A few more tickets will be released around March 10th as soon as all contesting bands are confirmed.
