Kiril Kutin med Sandnes Symfoniorkester, dirigent Bastien Ricquebourg

Bastien Ricquebourg has been employed as alternating principal percussionist and timpanist with the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra since 2009. Five years later, he completed his master’s degree in orchestral conducting at the Norwegian Academy of Music, studying with, among others, Ole Kristian Ruud as professor. He remains a member of the SSO but has also conducted orchestras in Germany, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, and Venezuela.
In Norway, Bastien has conducted, among others, the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, the Norwegian Armed Forces Staff Band, the Percussion Ensemble of the Oslo Philharmonic, KORK (the Norwegian Radio Orchestra), and the SSO. He has led several projects with the Sandnes Symphony Orchestra and served as principal conductor and artistic director of the Rogaland Youth Symphony Orchestra from 2015 to 2021.
Since 2023, he has been the artistic director and conductor of Stavanger Musikkorps av 1919. He is also an associate professor, head teacher, and section leader for percussion and timpani at the University of Stavanger, and a sought-after teacher at international institutions. He has been engaged as principal conductor of the Bjergsted Symphony Orchestra since 2021.

Kiril Kutin is a Bulgarian-born Norwegian pianist with an active international career as a soloist and recitalist. He performs widely across Europe and Scandinavia, combining core classical repertoire with contemporary music, and has collaborated with several Norwegian and Scandinavian composers. Kutin is artistic director of Kutin Konsert Forening and regularly appears at festivals and concert series in Norway and abroad. He holds a Master’s degree in Piano from the Bulgarian State Conservatory and has received numerous prizes in international competitions.
