Stjerne-hornist spiller med Bjergsted Symfoniorkester

Another Haaland from our district is making waves abroad: Eirik Baardsen Haaland from Sandnes, a talented horn player, has risen swiftly in the music world. Starting in the Lura School Band at nine, he’s now auditioned for the Berlin Philharmonic and toured with the London Symphony Orchestra.

Before graduating, he became solo hornist in the Trondheim Symphony at 22, and now holds the same position in the Bergen Philharmonic. Tonight, he’s the soloist with the Bjergsted Symphony Orchestra.

Eirik will perform Richard Strauss’ first horn concerto, known for its beauty and technical demands. Conductor Bastien Ricquebourg leads the orchestra, known for its growth and quality under his direction.
