Sommerkonsert: Songs my mother taught me

The opera stage is full of young, beautiful heroines – daughters, girlfriends, and wives fighting for love and often suffering in its name. But where are the mothers?

In this concert, we shine a spotlight on the role of mothers in classical music, exploring motherhood in all its facets – from lieder to opera and instrumental music. Here, you will encounter everything from new, happy mothers and those who sacrifice everything for their children, to lullabies and love songs from children to their mothers. Music by composers including Dvorák, Schumann, Verdi, Puccini, and Ravel.

The café opens the lounge on the first floor at 12:00 on concert days and remains open until the concert ends. In the lounge, you can purchase drinks, cheese & cold cuts, and waffles. You can pre-order drinks for the intermission, when purchasing concert tickets on the website. The main bar is unstaffed, but for those who just want a cup of coffee and haven’t pre-ordered, we offer self-service with payment via Vipps.
