Dansefest 2026 – Der magien bor

Stavanger Kulturskole has a long tradition of creating vibrant dance productions. This year’s performance invites audiences into a colourful and magical universe inspired by the Disney film Encanto.

Through dance, we explore a house filled with imagination, a family blessed with unique gifts and a prophecy that threatens to tear everything apart. Through movement and rhythm, stories unfold about courage, togetherness and the belief that even the darkest prophecy can take on new meaning when we dare to stand together.

On stage, audiences will meet dance students from the age of four to adults, performing a wide range of styles including ballet, jazz, show jazz, hip hop and contemporary dance. Nearly 700 students fill the hall with energy, music and pure joy of dance. Welcome to a magical weekend featuring four performances.
